Why is financial management not taught in school?

I know I write a lot of poetry, but I am more than just a one dimensional person. I do a lot of things, as I am sure many of you do. Therefore I dare to pause from writing poetry to ask the question above. I mean think about it. When you get out of high school or college you are expected to go out into the real world and just know about money and paying bills and establishing credit. Yet at no time were your ever given classes on real world money or life.

I know some of you are thinking we can learn money management at home. If that’s the case one would argue you can learn about drugs and sex at home. Yet we learn both at school. School teaches us about sex education (abstinence) and Say no to drugs. But not one ,not one class teaches us about trying to make a living off of minimum wage. We are told education is important. What we are not told is that, not everyone needs a college degree. We are not told that college is very expensive and you may not get a job as soon as you get out of college, and you still have to pay for that degree even if you never use it.

Okay I am going on a little more than I wanted to about college and tuition. That is another post later.

My question to you is : Do you think financial management should be required in high school?

Can having acne impact your life? But I think I can help.

Quick answer for me, YES! I don’t know that people who have never suffered from constant breakout understand that.

I started having massive breakouts when I was eleven years old. It was really bad. It was so bad I was once asked did I have chicken pox. That was quiet humiliating. I hated going anywhere. I hated talking to people. I often heard people talking about me behind my back, some would be so bold to tell me to my face. “Hey girl you ugly,” “Don’t nobody want you with all them thangs on yo face,” and “Hey ugly,” Sometimes I would get the “why don’t you look like your sister,” as if I had a choice.When I would go and apply for jobs, I was always placed in the back if I was hired.

I know some of you can relate. Acne can be a B*^*h. But here is what I learned about me and acne. When I was stationed in Kuwait they do not drink cows’s milk, which I happen to drink a lot of when I was growing up. Instead I drank a lot of tea, and because I still liked cereal I actually put water(which I do not recommend) on my cereal. My skin slowly started to clear up soon it was beautiful. And for the first time in my life i got a compliment. Yeah you heard me, a compliment. I had never had one, only insults.

Later on I learned of black African soap and shea butter, both of which has held me tremendously with my skin.

So below are the things I use to help treat my acne

Very low amounts of cows’s milk, (I think this is because of all the hormones )

Retin-A which I sometimes use but not often

Shea butter

Black African Soap

I also notice I tend to have more small breakouts if I eat a lot of pizza.

I hope this helps someone. There is nothing good about acne.

One other thing.My poem “The show she puts on ,” is how I felt walking around with acne.

I lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks doing this!

I use to get on the treadmill for an hour or walk the road for an hour. I lost zero pounds. I did this for one month. I believe I gained weight.

But this has helped me, I think

First thing I drink in the morning on a empty stomach is

1 tsp cayenne pepper,

1 tsp lemon juice

1/4 cup hot water ( think like a shot glass amount)

A little after that I drink 1 tsp of raw honey in luck warm water, honey is not as effective once heated above 100 degrees.

I did not change much of my eating habits as I tend to eat healthy anyways. I will say this, I do eat more sardines at least 3 times a week for breakfast otherwise it’s scrabbled eggs from my chicken coop or oatmeal. I already eat a lot of fruit. By the time I eat dinner my appetite is very small, yet I still eat. I mean I like food.

Before I go to bed I do 50 crunches, and 25 lunges and that’s it. I try to do 1 one minute plank. Sometimes that don’t work out like that.

But I lost the weight. And I can see it. It feel good and I am not hunger all the time like I was before on all the other things I have tried.
